IICT GLAUCOMA AI — PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: May 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the IICT Glaucoma AI mobile application ("App") collects, processes, and handles data when you use our service.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The App does not require user registration. We do not collect personal identifying information such as your name, email address, phone number, or device identifiers.

When you use the App, you upload fundus (retinal) images for analysis. These images are transmitted over an encrypted connection to our server at glaucoma-diag.iict.kz for processing. No image is linked to any personal identity.

2. HOW WE PROCESS YOUR DATA

Uploaded images are used solely to perform the following server-side operations:

The server generates processed images and numerical results, which are returned to your device and displayed within the App. No data is used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than the analysis described above.

3. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Server-side retention:

All uploaded images and server-generated analysis results (including processed images stored on the server) are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 90 days of upload. No manual deletion request is required — deletion is performed automatically.

Device-side data:

Any images selected by the user remain on the user's device under the user's full control. Users can delete these at any time by removing the files from their device or by uninstalling the application, which removes all locally stored App data.

No data is retained by the developer beyond the 90-day server retention period described above.

4. DATA SHARING

We do not sell, share, rent, or transfer any user data to third parties.

Images and analysis results are processed exclusively by the server infrastructure operated by the Institute of Information and Computational Technologies (IICT) at glaucoma-diag.iict.kz. No third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or external cloud services are involved in processing your data.

5. DATA SECURITY

All data transmission between the App and our server is protected using HTTPS (TLS encryption). We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

This App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through this App, please contact us immediately using the details in Section 9 so we can ensure prompt deletion.

7. MEDICAL DISCLAIMER

This application is not a medical device and has not been approved or certified for clinical diagnostic use by any medical regulatory authority.

The App does not provide medical diagnosis, clinical recommendations, or treatment guidance. All analysis results are for informational and research purposes only.

Users must consult a licensed ophthalmologist or qualified medical professional for any medical concerns, diagnosis, or treatment decisions.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable law.

Updates will be posted at:

https://glaucoma-diag.iict.kz/privacy.html

with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of the document. Continued use of the App after the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
