This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application IICT Glaucoma Research (“App”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use it.

2. Purpose of the App

The App is a research and educational demo that visualises AI-based segmentation of optic-disc fundus images and shows cup-to-disc ratio (CDR) and other image-processing metrics.

The App is not a medical device, does not provide diagnosis and must not be used as the sole basis for medical decisions or treatment.

3. Information We Collect

We do not ask you to create an account and do not collect your name, address, phone number or other direct identifiers.

The App may process:

• Fundus (eye) images that you voluntarily upload or select in the App for research and visualisation. These images can be either your own pictures or sample images.
• Technical information such as device model, operating system version and language settings, which may be used to improve stability and compatibility.
• Anonymous diagnostic logs (e.g. app crashes or basic usage statistics) to improve performance and reliability.

4. How We Use the Information

Any information processed by the App is used only to:

• Perform image processing and show segmentation overlays and CDR values;
• Improve the algorithms and quality of the research prototype;
• Maintain security, stability and user experience;
• Create aggregated and anonymised statistics for research purposes.

We do not use your data for advertising, tracking, or commercial marketing.

5. Data Processing and Storage

Image processing may occur locally on your device or via secure connection to our servers hosted by the Institute of Information and Computational Technologies (IICT).

• Uploaded images are used only for the current analysis session and are not intentionally linked to your identity.
• Images sent to the server may be stored temporarily during processing and may be anonymised and retained in aggregated form to improve our research models.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Data may be shared only with trusted service providers (for example, cloud infrastructure) that help us operate the App and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe that a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data that relates to you. To make such a request, contact us at motiondesignery@gmail.com.

9. International Transfers

Our servers or service providers may be located in countries other than your own. By using the App, you consent to the processing of information in those countries, which may have different data-protection laws.
